Halloween Party Trends 2026: What Everyone Is Buying (and What Has Already Sold Out)
Every autumn we get asked the same thing: what is actually trending for Halloween this year? So here it is - the 2026 Halloween party trends we are seeing on Pinterest, on Instagram and, more to the point, in your baskets. Almost all of it is Meri Meri, because nobody does Halloween like they do, and we have ordered more of it this year than ever before. 🎃
We have also included a few pieces that have already sold out for 2026, because they tell you more about the trends than anything else. If one of those is the one you wanted, sign up for the back in stock alert on the product page and we will email you the minute it lands.
Trend one: pink Halloween 🩷
The biggest shift this year. Blush pink with gold foil stars and moons, and not a drop of orange in sight. It started with the grown-up Halloween dinner party and it has filtered all the way down to the kids' table, where the Pink Witch Hat Party Plates x 8 (yes, they are hat shaped) are the thing every four year old spots first.
Pair them with the Pink Witch Hat Party Napkins x 16 and the Pink Witch Party Cups x 8, then put the birthday girl in the Pink Sequin Witch Party Hat - full sequins, proper brim, and the single most photographed thing in the Halloween range.
Trend two: vintage Halloween portraits 🖼️
Victorian frames, moody navy, bats and moons - the vintage Halloween look that is all over Pinterest this year. The Ornate Edge Halloween Party Plates x 8 have a scalloped, gold-edged frame printed on the plate itself, and with the Ornate Edge Halloween Large Party Napkins x 16 and the Ornate Halloween Party Cups x 8 the table looks like it came out of a haunted house. In a good way.
The Halloween Heads Paper Party Placemats x 12 go underneath, and the Halloween Heads Hanging Decorations x 3 - a giant pumpkin, cat and skull head that the kids will put on - hang above. The Vintage Halloween Honeycomb Heads x 4 are the smaller version for the mantelpiece.
Already sold out for 2026: the Halloween Portrait Reusable Party Plates x 4 and the matching Halloween Portrait Reusable Party Cups x 4. Reusable, framed portraits of a witch, a cat, a ghost and a skeleton, and they went in the first fortnight. Sign up on the product page and we will tell you if more arrive.
Trend three: checkerboard and patchwork ♟️
Black and cream check is the Halloween print of the year. The Patchwork Halloween Side Party Plates x 8 mix checks with little Halloween icons, the Patchwork Halloween Large Party Napkins x 16 match, and the Patchwork Halloween Reusable Large Party Plates x 4 are the wipe-clean version you will use every October from now on.
The checkerboard pumpkins in the Mod Pattern Pumpkin Party Plates x 8 are the same idea in orange and black, and they are brilliant mixed in with the vintage look above.
Trend four: black and white stripes with a bow 🎀
The quiet Halloween. Stripes, a bow and nothing orange at all - this is the look for a grown-up Halloween supper or a party where the parents are staying. The Black & White Stripy Bow Party Cups x 8 have a 3D paper bow on the front, the Black & White Stripy Bow Party Garland is the same bow strung along the mantelpiece and the Black Striped Paper Party Tablecloth goes underneath everything.
Trend five: the pumpkin patch 🎃
Still the one most people buy. This year it is stripes rather than faces - the Stripe Pumpkin Party Plates x 8 come in orange stripe, black stripe and plain, with the Stripe Pumpkin Party Napkins x 16 and the Stripe Pumpkin Paper Party Placemats x 12 to match. The Copper Pumpkin Party Plates x 8 are the shiny ones for the grown-ups.
Then the Honeycomb Pumpkin Party Decorations x 10 - ten paper honeycomb pumpkins in three sizes that sit on the table, on the stairs, on the cake stand, anywhere. They are the single best value piece in the whole range. Put the Orange Striped Paper Party Tablecloth underneath and you are done.
Trend six: ghosts, everywhere 👻
Ghosts have overtaken witches as the Halloween character of the year, and the softer the better. The Hanging Ghost Party Decorations x 6 are honeycomb and hang from the ceiling, the Spinning Ghost Decorations x 10 are iridescent and turn in the slightest breeze, and the Ombre Ghost Hanging Decorations x 6 are the pastel ones that look wonderful with the pink trend above.
On the table, the Ghost Shaped Party Plates x 8 are the Halloween plate we sell most of every year, and the Ghost Table Candles x 2 are a pair of tall, thin ghost candles that are almost too sweet to light. For trick or treating, the Trick Or Treat Ghost Party Bag is a fabric ghost with handles that will come out every year.
Trend seven: giant skeletons and oversized characters 💀
Go big or go home. Jointed paper skeletons have been the Halloween hit of the last two years and this year they are enormous. The Giant Jointed Skeleton Decorations x 3 are nearly a metre tall and can be posed on a chair, up the stairs or across the front door, and the Glitter Jointed Skeleton Halloween Decorations x 6 are the smaller glitter version for the party wall.
The Giant Halloween Character Hanging Decorations x 3 - a ghost, a glitter moon and a witch with fringing - hang from the ceiling and are the backdrop to every photo. Add the Honeycomb Spider Decorations x 3 (big, black, honeycomb, and nothing like the plastic ones) and the Bat, Stars & Moon Hanging Party Decorations x 7 for the hallway.
Already sold out for 2026: the Giant Glitter Jointed Skeleton Decorations x 3 - the giant skeletons with glitter bones. Sign up for the back in stock alert; the plain giant ones above are the same size and still here.
Trend eight: candlelight 🕯️
Candles have become a proper part of the Halloween table this year rather than an afterthought, and Meri Meri's are shaped. The Bat Table Candles x 3 are three black bats that sit flat on the table, the Halloween Striped Pillar Candles x 3 are stripy pillars in orange and black, and the Mixed Halloween Icons Table Candles x 6 are six tapers printed with pumpkins, ghosts and bats.
Trend nine: lanterns and the big reveal 🏮
If you only buy one decoration, buy lanterns. The Stripy Halloween Party Lanterns x 3 and the Halloween Party Lanterns x 3 are paper lanterns in orange and black stripes that hang in a cluster over the table, and the Halloween Lantern Party Garland strings little pumpkin and striped lanterns along the hallway. They are the thing in every single one of these photos that makes the room look finished.
Trend ten: the dressing-up table and party bags 🧙
The last trend is less about the table and more about the children. A dressing-up station with the Halloween Icons Hair Clips x 8, the Halloween Icons Stick On Party Earrings x 124 and the Halloween Icons Large Temporary Tattoo Sheets x 2 keeps everyone busy while the food comes out, and the Surprise Witch Hat Party Favours x 3 are little witch hats with a surprise inside.
For the bags, the Halloween Cauldron Party Bags x 8 are the ones we wrote a whole post about (see Halloween Party Bag Ideas Without the Plastic Tat), and the Trick Or Treat Pumpkin Basket Bag is the woven pumpkin basket that every child wants to carry on the night.
Also sold out: the Halloween Cat Shaped Party Napkins x 16. The Halloween Cat Shaped Party Plates x 8 are still here and the Black Cat Reusable Party Plate is the one you keep.
